2006 - 2008

:: This Year Gustavo was in charge of the General Direction and Choreography of "VERY ARGENTINE" in Buenos Aires, with Raúl Lavié, Valeria Lynch and Laura Fidalgo, some of Argentina´s biggest Stars.

 

:: Gustavo was in charge of the General Direction and Choreography of "Victor Victoria" in Buenos Aires, with Raúl Lavié, Valeria Lynch, Karina K and Fabian Gianola, some of Argentina´s biggest Stars.

 

:: The also directed and choreographed "Tangorama", a journey through tango colors with Argentina´s number one tango dancer Mora Godoy

 

 

:: In 2006 Gustavo Zajac has been awarded with the Theater City Awards for his Choreography of Nativo and the Critics Award for his Direction of Victor Victoria.

 

2005

:: In 2005 he directed and choreographed "Man of la Mancha" at the El Nacional Theater in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

:: In 2005 he worked as Choreographer for “Nine” the musical in Tokyo and Osaka, Japan.

 

 

:: He was in charge of the Choreographic Direction and Staging of the musical “Nativo” at the Nacional Theater in the city of Buenos Aires.

 

 

 

2004

:: In 2004 he was Associate Musical Staging of “Fiddler on the Roof” on Broadway, New York, with actor Alfred Molina and Direction by David Leveaux.


 

 

 

:: He choreographed the musical “Applause” in Buenos Aires, with actresses Claudia Lapacó and Paola Krum, produced by Diego Romay (ACE Award “Best Musical” 2004).

 

 

"1998 - 2003"

:: In the year 2003 he was Associate Choreographer in “Nine” the musical on Broadway, starring Antonio Banderas, Chita Rivera, and Jane Krakowski. (Tony Award “Best Revival of a Musical” 2003).

 

:: Besides, he worked along choreographer Jonathan Butterell on the TV commercial of E-Bay for national television, directed by Sam Mendes.

 

:: In 2001 he was Associate Director and Choreographer on “The Little Shop of Horrors” in Buenos Aires, directed by Beauty of the Beast’s director Robert Jess Roth and choreographer Matt West.

 

 

:: In 1999 he worked as Assistant Choreographer in “Wise Guys” at the New York Theater Workshop, with actors Nathan Lane and Victor Garber, and music by Stephen Sondheim.

 

:: In 1998 he was Assistant Director of  “Nine” the musical in Buenos Aires, with actor Juan Darthes. Also, he was Movement Director for the plays “The Whole List” and “Slow Approximation” at the Payro theater in the city of Buenos Aires.

TEN

:: In the year 2002 Gustavo created his dance company called “TEN”, which is made out of the exceptional female dancers who have trained with him. The company dances in various festivals and develops its own concerts. The work includes Lyrical Jazz and Theater Dance pieces.

 

"AS PROFESSOR"

:: Gustavo teaches dance workshops at the Roxana Grinstein studio in Buenos Aires and he is a Guest Professor at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, USA, at the Boston Summer Dance Festival in Boston, USA, the Center for the Arts in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Steps on Broadway Dance Studio in New York, USA, the Tokyo Theater Project in Tokyo, Japan, and the American Musical Theater Workshop in Long Island, USA.

:: Besides, he judges national and international dance contests and teaches workshops in Buenos Aires and many provinces throughout Argentina.

 

"AS ACTOR & DANCER"

:: As a performer, he played Tulsa in "Gypsy", partnered Argentina's prima ballerina Eleonora Cassano in her show "Cassano Dancing", and worked along with Argentina's superstar Susana Gimenez on television.

Gustavo was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in Musical Theater, through which he studied dance, acting, voice, direction and choreography in New York City for a year.

 

 

:: He was also awarded a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship, which allowed him to study cultural and religious diversity in Europe and he is a high honors graduate in International Relations from Hendrix College in Arkansas, USA
